Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Education/ Teaching or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years teaching experience.
• Ability to teach more than one of the stated subjects is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE programme.
• Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to IGCSE, deliver lessons and mark student work.
• Use diverse teaching methods (formal lessons, discussions, experiments, projects, excursions).
• Prepare daily lessons and course materials (syllabus, homework, tests, exams).
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance.
• Maintain high-quality learning experiences meeting standards.
• Maintain attendance records, grades and required records.
• Create a positive educational climate and safe environment.
• Update professional knowledge to keep up with teaching developments.
• Prepare and regularly update subject materials and report progress to parents.
• Prepare information for inspections and quality assurance exercises.
• Supervise relief classes when needed and attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Organise and participate in school events and excursions.
