Job summary

Great Eastern Malaysia is seeking a professional to ensure timely IFRS17 BAU reporting, perform results validation on calculation models, and support regular reporting to provide accurate financial numbers.

The role involves analyses for stakeholders, automation initiatives to strengthen controls, maintaining SOPs, and leveraging actuarial knowledge with tools like Prophet, Python, DCS, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of actuarial related experience.
• Knowledge on: (i) Actuarial models (Basic); (ii) Actuarial theories, practices and procedures (Basic)
• Carry out IFRS17 BAU reporting tasks and other activities related to regular reporting to ensure timely, efficient and accurate reporting of the financial numbers.
• Assist in regular and adhoc analyses requested by stakeholders to provide insights into IFRS17 numbers. This includes addressing queries from external auditors and internal stakeholders, Analysis of Change investigations, impact assessments, reasonableness checks and analysis of financial numbers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out IFRS17 BAU reporting tasks and other activities related to regular reporting to ensure timely, efficient and accurate reporting of the financial numbers.
• Perform results validation and testing on calculation models, including Prophet, DCS, Python, Aptitude and Excel models.
• Assist in regular and adhoc analyses requested by stakeholders to provide insights into IFRS17 numbers.
• Assist in implementing streamlining and automation initiatives to strengthen controls and checks, and to optimise IFRS17 reporting timelines.
• Maintain and enhance SOPs for IFRS17 reporting processes.
