Job summary

Detmold Group in Malaysia seeks an Accountant to join our Commercial Support Services team, driving financial excellence across international operations. You will own month-end close, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and cost allocations with accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 2–5 years of experience, ERP and advanced Excel skills, and fluent Chinese for cross‑border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 25 years of general accounting experience.
• Fluent in Chinese (verbal and written).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Meticulous attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close Excellence – Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Intercompany Accounting – Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and transfer pricing.
• Fixed Assets & Cost Allocations – Maintain asset register, depreciation, and allocations.
• Compliance & Controls – Uphold internal controls and support audits.
• Statutory & Regulatory Support – Provide data for filings and collaborate on compliance.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify process gaps and drive ERP enhancements.
