Job summary

Detmold Group in Malaysia invites an Accountant to join our Commercial Support Services team to drive financial accuracy and compliance across international operations.

You will manage month-end close, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and cost allocations, while upholding internal controls and supporting audits. The role requires 2–5 years in accounting, IFRS/local GAAP knowledge, ERP experience (Epicor Kinetic, SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel skills. Fluent Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
• 2-5 years of general accounting experience; shared services a plus.
• Fluent in Chinese (verbal and written).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail, integrity, and analytical problem-solving.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close Excellence - Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Intercompany Accounting - Manage and reconcile transactions across entities.
• Fixed Assets & Cost Allocations - Maintain asset register and depreciation; cost allocations.
• Compliance & Controls - Uphold internal controls and support audits.
• Statutory & Regulatory Support - Provide data for filings and liaise with in-country teams.

• Compliance & Controls - Uphold strong internal controls and support audits with clear documentation.
• Statutory & Regulatory Support - Provide accurate financial data for filings and collaborate with in-country teams on compliance.
• Continuous Improvement - Identify process gaps, drive automation, and contribute to ERP enhancements.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive mindset:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred).
