Qualifications

• Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or related quantitative field.
• Actuarial qualification in progress or equivalent depth of experience.
• Strong experience in life insurance and/or family takaful actuarial work with IFRS 17/MFRS 17.
• Good understanding of IFRS 17 valuation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IFRS 17 valuation team and build technical capability.
• Guide key MFRS 17 areas: contract grouping, CSM mechanics, risk adjustment, reporting.
• Oversee end-to-end valuation and reporting with strong governance and accuracy.
• Maintain IFRS 17 frameworks, processes, and controls for stable BAU reporting.
• Manage BAU cycles, address gaps, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Explain drivers of CSM, BEL, RA, NBCSM, and OPAT to stakeholders.
• Develop analyses and bridging tools to enhance transparency.
• Collaborate with Finance and other actuarial teams to align reporting.
