Job summary

HR Exchange Pte. Ltd. in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Manager to lead on-site electrical design, construction and commissioning for a multi-MW hyperscale data centre in the JB/KL region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• PEng/Ir or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical design, construction and commissioning.
• At least 3 years in data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV, LV, UPS, generators and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience with international standards and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical systems for a multi-MW hyperscale data centre.
• Oversee design reviews, value engineering, and ensure compliance with project specs and client requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and consultants for all electrical packages (MV/HV, LV, UPS, gens, switchgear, cabling).
• Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and test procedures.
• Drive project milestones including energization, partial RFS, and final handover.
• Develop and manage ITP and ensure FAT, SAT, IST activities are executed.
• Coordinate with Commissioning Managers to validate system performance.
• Ensure timely submission of OMM, as-built drawings, and authority certifications.
• Support QA/QC, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and contractors for electrical delivery.
• Interface with hyperscaler clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve issues.
