Job summary

ONNEC Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data centre projects. This full-time, site-based role requires hands-on coordination of site activities, contractors, and overall project execution.

The Site Manager will oversee supervisors and engineers, ensure safety, manage materials, and prepare progress reports while engaging with clients to meet quality and profitability targets.

Qualifications

• Lead, manage and motivate site-based engineering teams.
• Work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing skills.
• Solid experience in IT data centre installations and structured cabling practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of supervisors and engineers to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met; carry out risk assessments and method statements.
• Manage stock and materials to support efficient installation.
• Attend client meetings and document required actions.
• Produce progress reports and ensure timely updates to the Project Manager.
• Draw up patching schedules and maintain installation documentation.
• Maximise project profitability through active on-site management.
