Job summary

Green Cresco Sdn Bhd in Penampang District, Sabah, is hiring a full-time Hydroponic Assistant to support our innovative farming operations and help revolutionise food production in the region.

You will assist with system maintenance, monitor growth, nutrients, pH and environmental factors, and help with packing and delivery preparation, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

This role offers learning opportunities in new farming technologies and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of farming, gardening, or hydroponic systems is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and farming techniques (vegetables, plants, and farm equipment)

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day management and maintenance of hydroponic growing systems.
• Monitor and record data on plant growth, nutrient levels, pH and EC readings and environmental conditions regularly
• Provide support to the hydroponic farming team as needed
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our hydroponic farming processes
• Monitor and manage the growth of vegetables, and other plants.
• Plant seedlings, transplant crops, and carry out harvesting activities.
• Ensure plants are healthy by identifying pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
• Clean and maintain hydroponic equipment, trays, pipes, pumps, and growing areas.
• Record daily plant growth, harvest quantity, and system readings.
• Assist in packing, sorting, and preparing vegetables for delivery or sale.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the farm and working area.
• Follow instructions from the supervisor regarding crop schedules and farm operations.
