We are looking for a motivated and technically driven Hydraulic & Hydrologist Engineer to join our engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of hydrology, hydraulics, river conservation, water resources, and infrastructure projects, working closely with experienced engineers, clients, contractors, and government authorities.
The successful candidate will be involved in both engineering design and project implementation, with opportunities to develop expertise in hydraulic modelling, water resource management, and river engineering.
Responsibilities ::
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses to support the planning, design, and assessment of infrastructure projects, particularly river conservation and river improvement works.
- Develop and apply hydraulic and hydrologic models for water supply systems, drainage networks, river systems, and other related water infrastructure.
- Conduct hydraulic modelling and analysis using industry-standard software such as HEC RAS, MIKE, SPSWMM, TUFLOW, ICM, InfoWorks ICM and other relevant modelling tools.
- Undertake hydraulic and hydrologic design for water resources, river, drainage, and related infrastructure works.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, design criteria, and other technical documentation.
- Assess flood, hydraulic, hydrological, and water-related risks, and develop practical engineering solutions and mitigation measures.
- Interpret survey, hydrological, hydraulic, and site investigation data to support engineering assessment and design.
- Work collaboratively with civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, and other multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, government authorities, utility agencies, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in technical and contractual meetings, site inspections, progress discussions, and design coordination meetings as required.
- Provide technical support during the design, construction, testing, commissioning, and implementation stages of projects.
- Assist in troubleshooting site and design-related hydraulic issues and provide timely engineering recommendations.
- Keep up to date with relevant engineering standards, guidelines, modelling techniques, and industry best practices.
Requirements ::
- Must have minimum 4 years' experiences in Hydraulic Hydrologist Engineering design and analysis.
- Demonstrate experience and understanding of local codes, standards and submission requirements
- Must possess minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Able to work with minimum supervision and independent
- Registered with BEM/IEM
- Well versed with any engineering software ; HEC RAS, MIKE, SPSWMM, TUFLOW, ICM, InfoWorks ICM etc
- Understand the dynamic of working with a team and possess knowledge of client coordination and building relationships
- Responsible person with good communication skills
- Possess valid driving license and willing to travel
