Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager - Microservices to lead cloud-native microservices and distributed backend projects.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience and offers permanent, hybrid work. You will translate business requirements into technical workstreams, drive Agile delivery, and mentor global backend teams to ensure on-time, high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in technical project management or related roles.
• Legal right to work in Malaysia; visa sponsorship not available.
• Experience delivering cloud-native microservices or distributed backend systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Experience with API development and data processing pipelines.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor backend development teams, including globally distributed teams.
• Proven track record in Agile software delivery and project/program management.
• Experience in stakeholder management and executive communication for technical projects.
• Ability to drive adoption of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps best practices in software delivery.
• Experience in risk management and strategic planning for complex technical projects.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-native microservices and distributed backend system projects.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical workstreams and delivery plans.
• Define project scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, release management, and progress tracking.
• Manage and mentor backend development teams, including globally distributed teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary interface between engineering, product, leadership, and customers.
• Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and executives.
• Drive adoption of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps best practices in software delivery.
• Monitor project KPIs, service health, and operational metrics.
• Oversee deployment planning, release coordination, and production readiness.
• Lead risk management and strategic planning for technical projects.
