Job summary

Oxydata & TechTalent is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager for microservices in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on delivering cloud-native microservices and distributed backend systems, translating business requirements into concrete technical workstreams, and coordinating across engineering, product, leadership, and customers.

The position is hybrid in Malaysia with visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

8–12 years of experience in technical project management or related roles.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-native microservices and distributed backend systems.
Translate business requirements into actionable technical workstreams and delivery plans.
Define project scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, release management, and progress tracking.
Manage and mentor backend development teams, including globally distributed teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Act as the interface between engineering, product, leadership, and customers.
Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and executives.
Drive adoption of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps best practices in software delivery.
Monitor project KPIs, service health, and operational metrics.
Oversee deployment planning, release coordination, and production readiness.
