Job summary

Monks in Kuala Lumpur seeks a System Administrator to maintain and operate computer systems and cloud platforms as part of the SysOps IT team. You will drive IT administration improvements, security, organization, and efficiency, with a focus on automation.

This is a hybrid role with infrequent office attendance at our Kuala Lumpur office, offering opportunities to learn new technologies and propose automation projects as IT and AI needs grow.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5+ years in systems administration or a similar operational role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, and operate computer systems and cloud platforms.
• Support ISO 27001 compliance and audits by maintaining access controls and change management records.
• Participate in audit interviews, providing evidence such as access logs and patching reports.
• Assist with automating IT tasks and proposing projects to improve efficiency.
• Act as escalation point during local office hours for tools managed by the global team.
