Job summary

Software International Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a QA Tester to join a hybrid team. You will review requirements, create test plans and execute manual tests across functional, regression, smoke, and UAT, while collaborating with developers in an Agile/Scrum setting.

With 2–5 years of hands-on testing experience, you will work with Jira, Postman and Swagger, write basic SQL queries, and contribute to test documentation, ensuring quality from the outset while enjoying

Qualifications

• Review business requirements, functional specs, and user stories to develop thorough test plans and detailed test cases.
• Conduct manual testing across Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and UAT.
• Detect, document, and track defects using Jira with clear steps for reproduction.
• Validate backend services and integrations using Postman/Swagger.
• Perform basic SQL queries to verify data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, BAs, and Developers in Agile/Scrum to embed quality from the start.
• Maintain test documentation, scripts, execution logs, and summary reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop thorough test plans and detailed test cases from requirements and user stories.

• Log and track defects in Jira with reproducible steps and collaborate with developers.
