Job summary

“Citi” is seeking an entry-level Fund Accounting Analyst 1 in Kuala Lumpur to support accurate accounting, journal entries, and NAV valuations across client fund portfolios. The role emphasizes understanding double-entry bookkeeping, and leveraging AI and automation to improve workflows within the Fund Services team.

Fresh graduates or professionals with 1–2 years of experience in finance are encouraged to apply, with training provided and opportunities to grow in a global banking environment.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years in fund accounting, finance, or banking operations.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial workflows.
• Interest in AI, automation, and digital tools to enhance accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily ledger entries for trades, settlements, FX, collateral movements, and cash flows.
• Post journal adjustments for expenses, fees, accruals, and amortization.
• Maintain integrity of fund sub-ledgers and alignment with master GL.
• Monitor interfaces, unposted batches, and suspense accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Apply corrective entries to clear suspense balances before NAV cut-offs.
