Job summary

Experian PLC in Malaysia is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support project milestones by addressing security issues and guiding teams on best practices. The role reports to the Security Operations Manager and involves collaboration across vendors and business partners.

You will identify security risks, develop practical, risk-based solutions, and maintain knowledge of current threats and mitigations to protect transactional websites and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in UNIX, Windows, and Linux with security environments.
• Experience in information security risk analysis and reviews.
• Multi-platform expertise in firewalls, IDS, incident response, hardening.
• Proven ability to architect and implement security policies and tech.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS, ISO27001, and NIST standards.
• Awareness of Imperva WAF, VPN, and web proxy technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to resolve security challenges.
• Identify security issues arising during project execution.
• Develop risk-based solutions to unblock activities.
• Advise on security practices and policy compliance.
• Balance security requirements with operational needs.
• Keep updated on threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
