Job summary

techstreet in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, seeks a mid-level Software Engineer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience to design, build, and maintain scalable web and enterprise applications, working with product managers, designers, and senior developers.

You will design, code, test, and deploy software through the full SDLC, refactor for speed and security, and build RESTful APIs and microservices while participating in peer reviews and automated tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience
• Must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia
• Strong experience in backend stacks (Node.js/TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot, C#/.NET, or Python)
• Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server, MongoDB/Redis)
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, MVC, and microservice design patterns
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal English (Bahasa Malaysia a plus)
