Job summary

SNSoft SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a senior backend architect to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions. You will lead analysis of complex processes, design domain models and data flows, and align architecture with product and operations teams.

You’ll act as technical owner for major projects, guide development across QA, DevOps, and data, and drive platformization and reusable components to improve speed and reliability. AI-assisted development interest welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of backend development or architecture design experience, with experience in building complex business systems or platform-based systems.
• Strong business understanding, with the ability to quickly understand business rules, workflows, fund flows, data flows, and system boundaries.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects, with the ability to coordinate Product, Operations, Development, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
• Familiar with microservices architecture, API design, data consistency, permission/access control systems, and related design practices. Familiarity with Flink, message middleware, MongoDB, and related technologies is required.
• Experience in payment, wallet, risk control, campaign/promotion systems, user growth, trading, gaming, e-commerce, financial systems, or data platforms is preferred.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain solutions and risks to different stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to proactively identify business and system issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Able to balance business delivery speed with long-term system evolution, with good technical judgment and decision-making ability.
• Enthusiastic about AI tools and AI-assisted development, with interest or hands-on experience using tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar tools to improve development efficiency, solution design, debugging, documentation, and technical research.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the company’s business model and product workflows, and translate complex business requirements into practical and executable system solutions.
• Lead the analysis of complex business processes, domain modeling, system architecture design, interface collaboration, and data flow design for major projects.
• Act as the technical owner for key projects, coordinating resources across Product, Operations, Development, QA, DevOps, Data, and other teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead the platformization, middle-platform architecture, and componentization of core business systems to improve system reusability and business delivery efficiency.
• Participate in major requirement reviews and key project evaluations, identifying risks related to business logic, technology, data, performance, security, and production release.
• Contribute to business planning from a technical perspective by proactively proposing improvements to system capabilities and business efficiency.
• Establish and maintain architecture design documents, business process diagrams, system interaction diagrams, data flow diagrams, and project delivery methodologies.
• Guide development teams in understanding business requirements and system designs, and improve the team’s capability to deliver complex projects.
