Job summary

Carrier Malaysia is seeking a Sales Engineer for HVAC modernization to drive profitable growth by identifying and securing modernization opportunities in Carrier and third-party installations. You will combine technical HVAC knowledge with consultative selling to address aging equipment, energy efficiency and sustainability needs.

From lead generation through proposal, negotiation and order closure, you will own the opportunity and ensure a smooth sales-to-operations handover for project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, HVAC/refrigeration or building services.
• Professional engineering certification or HVAC qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant HVAC/building services experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop HVAC modernization opportunities within Carrier installed base and targeted third-party equipment.
• Develop relationships with owners, developers, consultants and facility managers to grow modernization opportunities.
• Perform site surveys to identify modernization, retrofit and energy-efficiency improvements.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders with gross-margin targets.
• Lead negotiations and handover to operations upon order award.
• Collaborate with Service, Sales, Applications Engineering and other Carrier units to maximize cross-selling.
