Job summary

Unknown Company is seeking an HSSE professional to support the establishment and ongoing operation of a company-wide HSSE framework. The role collaborates with an HSSE Consultant to translate policies into practical processes, records and routines, and to sustain day-to-day HSSE operations post-handover.

The person will drive compliance, risk control, incident management and continuous improvement across projects, ensuring training, inspections and governance are effectively implemented.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Safety Officer or Site Safety Supervisor certification recognized by Malaysian authority; ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 internal auditor training is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years of HSSE experience in telecommunications, ICT deployment, engineering, construction, infrastructure or comparable project-based environment.
• Proven experience implementing or improving HSSE processes, registers and operating controls within an organization or project.
• Experience working with consultants or subject-matter experts to translate framework requirements into operational practice and complete structured knowledge transfer.
• Experience conducting site inspections, maintaining risk assessments, coordinating contractor readiness, supporting investigations and tracking corrective actions.
• Exposure to client, statutory or regulated compliance requirements within multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate approved policies, standards and controls into practical workflows, templates, registers and operating controls.
• Coordinate implementation activities against the HSSE establishment plan and maintain visibility of status.
• Test proposed processes with project teams and incorporate feedback before formal adoption.
• Maintain knowledge-transfer and handover records covering documents, actions, system records, commitments and recurring activities.
• Progressively take on day-to-day administration of the implemented HSSE framework after handover, while policy decisions stay with management.

Education

Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Management or related discipline

Safety Officer or Site Safety Supervisor certification recognized by Malaysian authority

Minimum of 4 years HSSE experience in relevant sectors
