Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental programs across multiple projects in Malaysia. You will develop policies, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement while liaising with authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in occupational safety and health, HSE Officer certification, and 10+ years in relevant industries, with preference for industrial project experience and proven ability to

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or related field.
• Certified as HSE Officer.
• 10+ years of experience in relevant field.
• Industrial project experience preferred.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to provide technical direction and creative vision to teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local legislations and project safety plans.
• Act as HSE leader and manage multiple project safety teams.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards, risks and non‑compliance issues.
• Provide guidance on risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor, evaluate and improve HSE programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate HSE training programs and workshops for employees.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of HSE activities, incidents, inspections, and training.
• Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Liaise with authorities, clients, contractors and stakeholders for compliance.
• Stay updated with new legislation and industry best practices; promote safety culture.
• Ensure contractor compliance with project safety plan and local authorities.
