Job summary

The Oriental Group is seeking an HR professional in Malaysia to manage payroll, employee records, and statutory compliance. You will handle end-to-end payroll, maintain documentation, and support recruitment and onboarding across multi-outlet operations.

The role requires strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, experience with foreign worker administration, and proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems. Mandarin/English fluency is preferred for operational communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in HRM, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, with strong payroll & statutory compliance exposure.
• Solid understanding of Malaysian labour laws (Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Act 446).
• Experience handling foreign worker administration is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in F&B, retail, or multi-outlet environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness (overtime, allowances, deductions).
• Maintain employee records and run HRIS reporting.
• Prepare employment documentation (offers, confirmations, renewals).
• Manage recruitment processes and onboarding.
• Oversee foreign workers’ permits, visas and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure hostel/compliance with housing standards for employees.
• Coordinate HR training & development programs and HRDF claims.
• Respond to employee queries on payroll, policies, and benefits.
