Job summary

Trust Recruit is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in Malaysia to manage full employee lifecycle, payroll coordination, recruitment, and compliance across multiple sites. The role reports to an overseas HQ and requires strong autonomy with local labor law knowledge.

You will support onboarding, onboarding orientation, performance cycles, and welfare activities while ensuring policy alignment with Employment Act requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM, Business, or related field.
• 4-6 years of HR generalist experience, ideally with some exposure to running HR independently at a branch or site level.
• Strong working knowledge of Malaysian labor law and employment pass frameworks.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy while reporting into an overseas HQ.

Responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, orientation, and offboarding.
• Ensure policies and practices comply with the Employment Act and local labor law.
• Maintain and audit employee master data.
• Prepare and verify monthly payroll data with Finance.
• Manage recruitment for technical and corporate roles: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding.
• Handle foreign worker work pass applications, renewals, and quota management.
• Coordinate the annual performance appraisal cycle.
• Identify training needs and manage government grant claims (e.g. HRDF).
• Act as the primary HR point of contact for branch staff.
• Plan and execute welfare and engagement activities.
• Advise line managers on disciplinary matters and counseling, escalating to HQ where needed.
