Job summary

GENITRONIC (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an HR Manager in Sungai Petani to lead recruitment for technicians, engineers and staff, and manage end-to-end HR processes.

The role involves onboarding, promotions, disciplinary actions, and liaising with government authorities on compliance and work passes. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Chinese and English, have 3–5 years HR experience in manufacturing, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of HR and recruitment experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Familiar with employment compliance management and experienced in dealing with government authorities.
• Experience in using, developing, or optimizing HR IT systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and learn quickly.
• Proficient in both Chinese and English (written and spoken).
• Willing to be based in Sungai Petani.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for technicians, engineers, office staff, and other positions.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation confirmation, promotions, disciplinary actions, and resignations.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, tax regulations, and confidential information management.
• Liaise with government authorities and handle official matters when required.
• Process work permits and visas, including PVP, EP, and other employment passes.
• Manage employee attendance and overtime records, and coordinate payroll processing.
• Conduct PDA/performance appraisals and support promotion and salary increment processes.
• Oversee daily administrative operations, including business travel arrangements, office supplies, company vehicles, and company events/holiday activities.
• Lead overall employee training and development initiatives, including new employee orientation and professional skills training.
• Establish, improve, and maintain the company’s training system and programs.

Job description

We are seeking an HR Manager, and Chinese‑speaking candidates are preferred as the role requires frequent communication and collaboration with the China team.

Recruitment Management

Manage end-to-end recruitment for technicians, engineers, office staff, and other positions.

Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation confirmation, promotions, disciplinary actions, and resignations.
