Industrial Relations & Compliance
Handle domestic inquiries, disciplinary proceedings, and manage Domestic Inquiry (DI) cases when required.
Act as company representative for Industrial Court matters, Labour Department, and Immigration audits.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA 1994 (collaborating with Safety & Health Officer) for factory operations.
Implement employer branding initiatives on MYFutureJobs, Jobstreet, and LinkedIn to attract green talent.
Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and code of conduct.
Performance Management & Employee Engagement
Lead annual performance appraisal cycle (KPI setting, mid-year review, year-end evaluation)
Design and implement retention strategies for critical engineering and technicalroles
Organize quarterly town halls, employee recognition programs, and CSRactivities to boost morale
Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition data to recommend improvements
Payroll, Benefits & HR Operations
Oversee monthly payroll processing for 80-150 employees (wages, OT, allowances, statutory deductions)
Manage HRIS system (e.g., SQL Payroll, Autocount, or Info-Tech) for leave, attendance, and claims
Administer medical benefits, group insurance, and annual leave tracking
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead end-to-end recruitment for all levels (operators to engineers) to support new energy project expansion.
Partner with production and engineering heads to forecast manpower needs for peak manufacturing cycles.
Implement employer branding initiatives on MYFutureJobs, Jobstreet, and LinkedIn to attract green talent.
Manage onboarding, probation reviews, and oboarding processes.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certificate in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- Proven track record in recruitment for manufacturing or engineering roles.
- Certified HR Professional is a significant advantage.
Skills & Knowledge
- Native Chinese Speaker: Essential for communicating with stakeholders and foreign workers (Mainland China). Proficiency in English and BM is also required.
- Legal Expertise: Strong knowledge of Malaysian Labour Law, Industrial Relations Act, and Employment Act 1955.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in HRIS/Payroll software (SQL, Autocount, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Excel Pivot Tables are a must).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and the ability to work in a fast-paced "new energy" industry with shifting priorities.
