Job summary

Lam Research International Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an HR Business Partner to enable leaders in manufacturing and operations with data-driven HR insights and capability-building programs.

You will support site expansion, contribute to people-first culture, and act in alignment with Lam’s core values. The role focuses on policy work, organisational development, employee relations and talent management, while partnering with COEs and HR Shared Services to drive excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of HRBP experience.
• Ideal background in semiconductor, electronics or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience in talent management, organisational development, coaching and employee relations.
• Strong relationship-building and ability to influence leaders at all levels.
• High learning agility and resilience in a fast-paced, matrixed global environment.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.

The impact you’ll make

As a HR Business Partner at Lam Research, you will play a critical role in enabling our leaders and teams within manufacturing and operations. You will influence business decisions with strong HR insights, drive capability-building programs, and support site expansion activities while ensuring a people-first experience aligned with Lam’s culture and values — Act with Purpose, Inspire Collaboration, and Achieve Together.

The posting then describes the core HRBP role as working closely with management on HR policies, organizational and employee development, employee relations, salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, organizational change, talent management and succession planning. It specifically calls outcoaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.

What you’ll do

1. Strategic People Partnership

• Partner with operations, manufacturing and engineering leaders to build and execute HR strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Shape workforce planning, organizational design and talent strategies to support site growth and operational excellence.
• Provide business leaders with data-driven insights around talent, performance and culture.

2. Talent Development & Capability Building

• Lead talent management including succession planning, performance calibration and leadership development.
• Identify high-potential employees and support accelerated development pathways.
• Partner with COEs on learning programmes to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.

3. Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience

• Foster collaboration, continuous improvement and inclusion.
• Drive employee listening strategies and engagement/retention action plans.
• Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on people matters, conflict resolution and team development.

4. HR Operations, Governance & Change Management

• Ensure HR processes comply with Malaysian labour law while meeting Lam’s global standards and RBA/Citizenship expectations.
• Support organisational transformation, digitalisation and process improvement.
• Partner with HR Shared Services and COEs on HR operations, compensation cycles, onboarding and compliance.

Who we’re looking for

• Minimum 8 years of HRBP experience, ideally in semiconductor, electronics or high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong relationship-building and ability to influence leaders at all levels.
• Experience intalent management, organisational development, coaching and employee relations.
• High learning agility and resilience in a fast-paced, matrixed global environment.
• Strong understanding ofMalaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
• MNC/global-team experience is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology or related field preferred
