Job summary

Advanced Prestige Sdn Bhd (Sutera Harbour Resort) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold and repair hotel facilities and systems, ensuring safety and comfort for guests and staff. You will handle routine inspections, electrical and mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep guest areas and back-of-house operations running smoothly.

The role requires a technical qualification and 1–2 years of hospitality maintenance experience, with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Technical/Vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Air-Conditioning, Building Maintenance, or related fields.
• Minimum 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a hotel, resort, hospitality industry, or similar environment preferred.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair technical faults efficiently.
• Basic understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of hotel/resort facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Repair guest room fixtures, furniture, lighting, locks, appliances, and related equipment.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, generators, pumps, water systems, and other utility equipment.
• Ensure all engineering systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and hotel policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests.
