Job summary

Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage the hotel’s procurement process in Kota Kinabalu. This full-time role involves handling requisitions, placing orders, and tracking deliveries, while negotiating with suppliers and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of purchasing experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing—from requisitions to orders and deliveries
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best prices, quality, and terms
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities
• Collaborate with department heads to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery
• Identify and research new suppliers to expand vendor base and opportunities
