Job summary

Trove Johor Bahru is offering an IT Support Internship in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will assist the IT team with day-to-day technical support for hotel colleagues and help troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Training will cover installation, setup and maintenance of computers, printers, phones and other IT equipment, plus support for hotel systems like PMS and POS. Strong communication and a proactive attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking or related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Applicants must be able to complete the required internship period.

Responsibilities

• Assist the IT team with day-to-day technical support for hotel colleagues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Support installation, setup and maintenance of computers, printers, phones and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the hotel's IT systems and network infrastructure.
• Provide basic IT support for hotel systems like PMS, POS and related systems.
• Set up user accounts and grant basic system access.
• Maintain records of IT equipment, assets and inventory.
• Assist with IT equipment maintenance, replacement and preventive checks.
• Liaise with IT vendors or service providers as needed.
• Maintain IT documentation and records.
• Support system updates, installations and IT-related projects.
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Department.
