Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or Microbiology, at least 2 years of relevant experience, AHP Act registration, and strong attention to detail with solid analytical skills to uphold high testing standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Microbiology or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Registered as an allied health practitioner under the Allied Health Professions Act.
• Adequate understanding of laboratory procedures and established protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests that provide crucial information for detecting, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring disease.
• Ensure accurate, precise and timely reporting of test results to clinicians.
• Perform quality control, institute preventive maintenance of equipment, monitor inventory, and ensure policies and procedures followed to maintain high testing standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and promote continuing education and research within the laboratory.
