Sunway Medical Centre Sdn Bhd seeks a Biomedical Scientist to conduct essential diagnostic tests, report findings to clinicians, and contribute to patient care in a busy hospital laboratory.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or Microbiology, at least 2 years of relevant experience, AHP Act registration, and strong attention to detail with solid analytical skills to uphold high testing standards and compliance.
Responsible for conducting tests that provide crucial information for detecting, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring disease.
Ensure accurate, precise and timely reporting of test results to clinicians.
Perform quality control, institute preventive maintenance of equipment, monitor inventory, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed so that testing output is maintained at the highest possible standards.
Participate in quality improvement, promote and support continuing education and research at all levels within the laboratory.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science, Microbiology or equivalent from a recognized university.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
Registered as an allied health practitioner under the Allied Health Professions Act.
Adequate understanding of laboratory procedures and established protocols.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
