Job summary

KPJ Sabah Medical Centre Laboratory is seeking a skilled Lab Scientist to perform precise tests and analyses to support clinical diagnoses and research. You will ensure reliability of results by following standardized procedures and maintaining rigorous quality control.

You will operate and troubleshoot instruments, maintain LIS protocols, and assist in policy documentation and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Experience performing laboratory testing with accuracy and reliability.
• Ability to maintain quality control and adhere to safety standards.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information System (LIS) protocols.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of laboratory services including specimen testing and reporting.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers.
• Adhere to ISO 15189 and ISO 9001 standards and maintain related records.
• Support policy documentation, quality assurance, and cost control.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.
