Job summary

Reinhausen Asia-Pacific in Malaysia designs and manufactures high-voltage testing systems for testing power cables, transformers, and other electrical equipment. The role covers tests and commissioning at customer sites within the Asia Pacific region, plus troubleshooting and training, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic.
• Malaysian nationality.
• Knowledge in power electronics and/or high voltage technology.
• PLC SIMATIC S7 experience is an advantage.
• Hands-on, customer oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to travel (local & abroad) and possess a valid driving license.
• Good command of written and spoken English and any Asian languages.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Execute tests and commissioning duties of high-voltage and power electronic components and systems at customer sites within the Asia Pacific region.
• Carry out customer training, troubleshooting, repair and diagnostic measurements on assemblies, components and systems at factory and customer sites.
• Prepare test protocols, work and test instructions and review/correct circuit documents.
• Conduct investigations at customer sites and prepare technical service reports; follow-up service assignments.
• Assist in practical training for colleagues and customers and in stock control.

What challenges can you expect?

• You will execute tests and commissioning duties of high-voltage and power electronic components and systems in the plant at the customer's site within the Asia Pacific region.
• You carry out customer training, troubleshooting, repair and diagnostic measurements on assemblies, components and systems in the factory and at the customer's site
• You prepare test protocols, work and test instructions as well as review and correction of circuit documents.
• You carry out investigations at customer’s site, prepare technical service reports and follow-up service assignments.
• You assist in conducting practical training for other colleagues and customers as well as in Stock Control.

What do we expect from you?

• You possess a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic.
• You are Malaysian nationality.
• You have knowledge in the field of power electronics and/or high voltage technology.
• You are experienced with programmable logic controllers (SIMATIC S7) is an advantage.
• You enjoy hands‑on work and customer oriented.
• You are confident, able to work under pressure and within a team.
• You are willing to travel (local & abroad) and possess valid driving license.
• You have good command of written and spoken English as well as any Asian languages.
• You have a decent computer Skills especially in MS Office Suite.
