Job summary

SD Guthrie International (SDGI) is seeking a skilled professional to oversee the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of high‑voltage electrical installations up to 11kV/33kV within our facility. The role focuses on safety, reliability and energy efficiency across plant systems.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of HV experience, strong knowledge of protection schemes and energy management, and the ability to read diagrams and manuals, communicate effectively, and supervise a technician

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in high‑voltage operations
• Familiar with high‑voltage distribution, protection schemes and energy management
• Able to read single‑line diagrams and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Physically able to work on‑call, including weekends/public holidays
• Excellent communication and coordination with teams and contractors

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot HV electrical installations up to 11kV/33kV within the site
• Ensure compliance with Energy Commission regulations and safety standards
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance; monitor energy usage to minimize downtime
• Prepare maintenance reports and relevant documentation for regulatory bodies
• Liaise with utility providers and contractors on electrical matters and shutdowns
• Train and supervise technicians and junior staff; enforce PTW systems and safe isolation procedures
