Job summary

FHM Equipment Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Heavy Machinery Maintenance Technician in Kuala Lumpur. You will service, repair and inspect dump trucks and other heavy equipment, diagnose problems and perform on-site repairs when required.

The role requires 2–3 years in heavy machinery maintenance, Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Overtime and a valid driving license are advantageous.

Qualifications

• SPM / O-Level or equivalent; candidates with relevant sales experience encouraged to apply.
• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Machinery or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in heavy machinery maintenance and repair.
• Experience with dump trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, lorries or other heavy equipment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmission, braking and electrical systems.
• Able to perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair independently.
• Good technical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work overtime and attend to machinery breakdowns when required.
• Responsible, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Possess a valid driving license is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance and repair of dump trucks and heavy machinery.
• Carry out inspection and troubleshooting of diesel engines, transmission, hydraulic, brake and suspension systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and carry out necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce machinery breakdowns and downtime.
• Conduct regular checks on machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Repair and replace faulty mechanical components and spare parts.
• Attend to machinery breakdowns and carry out on-site repairs when required.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance, repairs and spare parts used.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with safety and company procedures.
• Keep workshop and working areas clean, organized and safe.
