Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical engineer to design and develop heater systems based on application requirements.

You will review technical specifications, prepare 2D and 3D drawings, perform validation calculations, and ensure compliance with ASME VIII Div. 1, PV Elite, SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will work with sales, project and quality teams to deliver technical support and maintain design documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in heater design and calculations.
• Familiar with ASME VIII Div. 1; PV Elite, SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop heaters based on application requirements.
• Review technical specifications and sales handovers/datasheets.
• Prepare 3D and 2D drawings for electric heaters per customer requirements and sales sheets.
• Conduct calculations to validate heater performance.
• Select materials and components for efficiency and durability.
• Liaise with Control Panel Engineer to ensure interface tallies with control panel.
• Initiate Change Notice for design changes.
• Collaborate with sales, project, and quality teams to deliver technical support.
• Perform failure analysis and troubleshoot design or performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain documentation of designs, calculations, and revisions.
