Job summary

Aafiyat Marketing Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Head of Technology Enablement to lead the technology function and shape the organisation’s technology direction as it grows.

This strategic leadership role covers technology strategy, digitalisation, data governance, systems, infrastructure and capabilities to align investments with business priorities. Responsibilities include defining the technology roadmap, establishing governance and risk management, driving digital initiatives, and ensuring data quality

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading a technology/IT function at management or leadership level.
• Strong experience in technology strategy, digitalisation and systems governance.
• Proven experience leading initiatives that improve business processes or operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems and technology governance.
• Experience managing technology resources, vendors and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the organisation’s technology roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards for systems, data, and infrastructure.
• Oversee technology risk management, cybersecurity posture, and compliance readiness.
• Prioritise digital initiatives based on business value and ROI.
• Report technology performance and strategic progress to senior management.
• Manage technology resources, vendors, and budget responsibly based on business priorities.
• Evaluate build, buy, or outsource decisions based on cost, capability, scalability, and business value.
• Oversee enterprise-wide digitalisation and automation of business processes.
• Provide governance and strategic direction for system planning and implementation.
• Ensure proper documentation, approval controls, and change management discipline.
• Monitor system adoption, performance, and sustainability.
• Enable data-driven decision-making and AI-readiness initiatives.
• Define infrastructure strategy aligned with growth plans.
• Ensure stable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure.
• Lead and develop the Technology team with clear accountability and priorities.

This is a strategic technology leadership role covering technology strategy, digitalisation, data governance, systems, infrastructure and technology capabilities. The role is responsible for ensuring technology investments and resources are aligned with business priorities and deliver measurable value to the organisation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Define and drive the organization’s technology roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.

Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards for systems, data, and infrastructure.

Oversee technology risk management, cybersecurity posture, and compliance readiness.

Prioritize digital initiatives based on business value and ROI.

Report technology performance and strategic progress to senior management.

Manage technology resources, vendors, and budget responsibly based on business priorities.

Evaluate build, buy, or outsource decisions based on cost, capability, scalability, and business value.

Digitalization & Process Enablement

Oversee and ensure enterprise-wide digitalization and automation of business processes.

Provide governance and strategic direction for system planning and implementation.

Ensure proper documentation, approval controls, and change management discipline.

Monitor system adoption, performance, and sustainability.

Ensure reduction of manual processes and operational inefficiencies.

Establish enterprise data governance and structured data standards.

Ensure systems are designed to capture clean, extractable, and reliable data.

Oversee data integration and reporting architecture.

Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across platforms.

Enable data-driven decision-making and AI-readiness initiatives.

Infrastructure & Reliability Oversight

Define infrastructure strategy (cloud/on-prem/hybrid) aligned with growth plans.

Ensure stable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure.

Oversee IT asset lifecycle and configuration management.

Monitor system availability, performance, and incident management effectiveness

Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity readiness.

Team Leadership & Capability

Lead and develop the Technology team with clear accountability, priorities, and performance expectations.

Ensure appropriate technical capability, resource allocation, and competency development within the team.

Remove delivery bottlenecks and enable the team to execute effectively.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Significant experience leading a technology / IT function at management or leadership level.

Strong experience in technology strategy, digitalisation and systems governance.

Proven experience leading technology initiatives that improve business processes or operational efficiency.

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems and technology governance.

Experience managing technology resources, vendors and budgets.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technology priorities and recommendations to senior management.

Proven experience leading and developing a technology team.

THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT IF

Your experience is primarily focused on IT support or helpdesk operations.

Your background is mainly infrastructure maintenance without exposure to technology strategy or business transformation.

Your experience is primarily technical execution without ownership of teams, budgets, vendors or technology priorities.

You have limited experience working with business leaders on technology decisions.
