Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur seeks an accomplished Operations leader to oversee inventory management, governance, compliance, and team development. You will drive audits, SOPs, dashboards, and risk reporting with cross-functional collaboration across compliance and finance.
The role requires 6–10 years of operations experience in front-to-back financial product workflows, strong inventory controls, and hands-on leadership to scale processes in a lean environment.
This role leads operations across inventory management, process governance, compliance, and team leadership. You will oversee inventory monitoring and reporting, enforce dual-custody procedures, conduct audits of physical stock, and develop standard operating procedures for the Operations department. You will lead periodic process reviews, drive root-cause analysis, and report findings to Senior Management. The role requires developing an understanding of regulatory policies on AMLA and KYC, establishing procedures for incident management and exception reporting, and coordinating with Compliance to ensure operational processes align with regulatory obligations. You will lead and mentor the Operations team, build future operating structures, and prepare dashboards covering inventory positions and performance. You will act as an escalation point for operational crises and work closely with finance on cash movements and management reporting.
Oversee inventory monitoring and reporting conducted by operations executives and coordinate with Trading on supply planning and risk mitigation
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits of physical stock against book inventory
Monitor storage fees and insurance limits of all storage locations
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for the Operations department
Lead periodic process reviews and audit-readiness assessments, driving root-cause analysis and corrective action
Report findings and resolutions to Senior Management on a monthly basis
Identify opportunities and collaborate with relevant teams to automate manual tasks
Approve daily and monthly stock reconciliation reports
Lead, mentor and develop Operations team, setting high standards for ownership, execution discipline, risk awareness and professional development
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, lending operations, middle office or related field
6 to 10 years operations experience
Strong exposure to front-to-back financial product workflows, such as trading, lending, credit, structured products, securities financing, treasury, payments, investment platforms or digital financial products
Experience building or improving operating models, workflows, controls, systems, and reporting infrastructure
Strong background in inventory control and audit management
Working knowledge of BNM's AMLA/KYC requirements
Strong understanding of operational risk, workflow design, controls, governance, and process documentation
People management experience, including KPI setting and performance reviews
Ability to understand complex financial products and translate them into clear operating procedures
Excellent stakeholder management skills across front office, operations, compliance, finance, technology, and external providers
