Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore/M regional presence seeks an experienced leader to head the Import and Export Letter of Credit section. You will manage a team of Team Leads and 15–20 staff, ensuring timely LC issuance and advising, while driving process improvements and risk control.

Strong expertise in trade finance operations and knowledge of UCP 600/ISBP are essential, along with leadership experience and a degree in Banking/Finance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in trade finance operations, with practical knowledge of Import and Export Letters of Credit.
• Proven people-leadership experience, preferably managing Team Leads or a sizeable operations team.
• Sound knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP and AML, sanctions and trade-control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Team Leads and their teams to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee Import LC issuance and Export LC advising and confirmation operations, including amendments and cancellations.
• Ensure service, quality and control standards across OCBC Group entities.
• Provide guidance and escalation support for complex or non-standard transactions.
• Manage operational, compliance and transaction risks per internal policies and trade rules.
• Collaborate with Business, Product, Risk, Compliance, Technology and other Operations teams to resolve issues.
• Drive process simplification, standardization, automation and service improvements.
