MVC Resources in Shah Alam, Malaysia seeks an experienced Head of Finance to lead the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions. You will report to senior management, drive budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial governance.

The role requires 10–15 years in finance, a professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA, and a track record in construction or related project-based industries. You will partner with operations, manage tax and audits, and support strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent is highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead finance and accounting function with strong governance and operational excellence.
• Provide strategic financial advice to support growth, profitability, and decision-making.
• Partner with operational and project teams to monitor project performance, cost controls, cash flow, and profitability.
• Develop and strengthen finance processes, internal controls, and risk management frameworks across the organization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to drive performance and succession planning.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, long-term financial planning, and periodic forecasting exercises.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Drive financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and business initiatives.
• Establish key financial and operational performance indicators to enhance visibility and decision-making.
• Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Manage group consolidation processes and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial information across all business entities.
• Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax legislation.
• Lead cash flow planning and working capital management to ensure optimal liquidity levels.
• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, project financing, and funding requirements.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposures, financing arrangements, and treasury-related risks.
• Implement strategies to improve cash collection cycles and optimize funding structures.
• Support fundraising, financing, restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, and other corporate finance initiatives where required.
• Conduct financial due diligence, investment evaluations, and business feasibility studies.
• Lead financial assessments and strategic analyses to support expansion plans and major capital investments.
• Provide financial inputs for contract negotiations, project bids, and strategic business opportunities.
