Jora Malaysia is seeking an accomplished engineering leader to develop and execute a technology roadmap for inductors and transformers. You will identify key directions, lead the full product development lifecycle, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
The role requires extensive experience in power magnetic components, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of delivering high-performance products.

Develop and execute a technology roadmap for the company's inductor and transformer product lines.
Identify and drive key technology directions to strengthen the company's competitive advantage.
Lead the complete product development lifecycle, including concept development, electromagnetic simulation, prototyping, performance validation, pilot production, and mass production transfer.
Ensure products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and business objectives.
Lead technical improvement initiatives to address manufacturing challenges.
Drive the adoption of new materials, technologies, and production processes to improve product quality, yield, and cost efficiency.
Establish and continuously improve standardized R&D processes covering project initiation, planning, risk management, progress monitoring, and commercialization.
Develop R&D management systems, policies, and performance evaluation mechanisms to ensure operational excellence.
Build, develop, and manage a high-performing R&D team.
Establish a strong technical talent pipeline and succession plan.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with Sales teams on requirement reviews, technical proposals, and quotation support.
Collaborate with Manufacturing teams to ensure effective technology transfer and production support.
Partner with Quality teams on failure analysis and product reliability improvements.
Engage directly with key customers to provide technical consultation, project support, and solution development.
Establish robust design quality control processes to ensure compliance with AEC-Q200, IATF 16949, UL, CE, and other applicable standards.
Lead cost reduction initiatives through material substitution, process optimization, and product design innovation while maintaining product performance and quality.
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Magnetic Materials, or related disciplines.
Minimum 10 years of experience in power inductors, transformers, magnetic components, or related industries and 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer-facing experience, with effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, and an innovative, accountable, and results-oriented mindset.
Strong expertise in the design and development of inductors, transformers, integrated molding inductors, SMD power inductors, and wireless charging products, with a solid understanding of soft magnetic materials, electromagnetic simulation, thermal design, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of AEC-Q200, IATF 16949, UL, CE, and related industry standards and strong understanding of testing, reliability analysis, and cost optimization.
Willing to travel frequently internationally for customer visits, project support, and business development activities.
