Job summary

Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad is seeking an AVP of Business Systems & Applications within the Content Engineering team to lead operations, transformation and continuous improvement of content-related business systems across the broadcast and digital media ecosystem.

You will govern end-to-end metadata and AI-enabled workflows, translate business requirements into scalable solutions, drive automation, governance, and ensure platform availability and incident response in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
At least 10 years of working experience with 6–7 years in broadcast, media operations or content technology.
Experience leading small in-house development teams or support engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead stakeholder engagement across content, scheduling, metadata, digital, distribution, engineering and product teams.
Drive capacity planning, platform lifecycle management, system refresh initiatives and roadmap planning for metadata delivery and AI workflows.
Ensure platform availability and incident management in a 24/7 broadcast environment.
Oversee governance for metadata and AI workflows, model/tool evaluation and data protection.
Manage a small in-house development and automation team, incl. sprint planning and release readiness.
