Job summary

StashAway is seeking a Head of BI to own and grow the Business Intelligence function within its AI-native analytics environment. You will manage the BI backlog, own outcomes, and partner with the VP of Data and Data Engineering to deliver the BI mandate.

You will lead analysts, set quality standards, and drive adoption of AI-powered self-serve analytics while maintaining governance. This role emphasizes leadership, strategy, and actionable insights across the company.

Qualifications

• Directly managed analysts or data professionals as their people manager.
• Track record of mentoring and coaching analysts at different levels.
• Ability to drive team outcomes by owning a backlog and delivering to stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder leadership with senior executives.
• Built repeatable AI assets and guided governance for AI-generated analyses.
• Hands-on SQL and data-modelling depth to set standards and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own BI team's backlog, priorities and commitments.
• Mentor and develop career paths from junior analysts to seniors.
• Set quality standards for SQL, metrics, models and analyses.
• Raise team autonomy for day-to-day delivery and prioritisation.
• Define high-value analyses and shape self-serve tooling within BI.
• Govern AI-powered analytics with evals, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop gates.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance and execs to align BI priorities.
• Publish and maintain a BI roadmap and turn ambiguous requests into defined problems.
