Job summary

Panglima City Motor Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Manager, Body & Paint Department to lead our B&P operations at Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor. This role oversees all department activities to ensure quality, safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in automotive B&P and at least 5 years in management, with strong budgeting, planning and people-management skills. A driving licence and willingness to travel are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent automotive certification.
• Minimum 5–7 years in automotive body & paint industry.
• Minimum 5 years in managerial roles supervising staff and leading teams.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities with detail focus.
• Proficient with workshop management systems and basic IT literacy.
• Fluent in English and Malay; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategize, forecast, plan and execute to achieve monthly B&P targets.
• Manage B&P department budget for cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Oversee daily B&P operations following Toyota SOPs or equivalent.
• Evaluate performance with reports and surveys to improve outcomes.
• Enforce policies for warranty jobs, cash and card transactions.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate replenishment.
