Job description

This role involves overseeing the overall academic operations and teaching quality of the academy, managing and supporting teachers to ensure consistent teaching standards, and personally conducting IELTS preparation classes when required.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the overall academic operations and teaching quality of the academy

Manage, supervise, and support teachers to ensure consistent teaching standards

Develop and improve academic programmes, teaching materials, lesson plans, and curriculum

Monitor students' academic progress and implement improvement plans where necessary

Conduct regular teacher evaluations, classroom observations, and performance reviews

Recruit, train, mentor, and develop teaching staff

Personally conduct IELTS preparation classes when required

Teach and guide students in IELTS Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking

Develop effective IELTS teaching strategies, exercises, mock examinations, and learning materials

Provide academic consultation and guidance to students

About you

Bachelor's Degree or above in Education, English, TESL/TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field

Strong hands-on IELTS teaching experience is required

Experience as a Head of Academic, Academic Manager, Academic Coordinator, Senior IELTS Teacher, Lead Teacher, or similar position is highly preferred

Strong knowledge of IELTS examination structure and preparation techniques

Able to teach students personally as well as manage a team of teachers

Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and people-management skills

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
