Job summary

GL Education Group Sdn Bhd, operating Global Leaders Academy in Plaza Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, seeks a native English teacher to deliver high-quality English instruction to students of varying ages and proficiency. Design engaging lessons, assess progress, and contribute to curriculum.

Requirements include native English speaker, Bachelor's degree in Education/English/Linguistics, TEFL/TESOL/CELTA (min 120 hours), and prior ESL teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Native English speaker or equivalent native-level fluency.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (minimum 120 hours) or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Prior teaching experience, particularly with international or ESL students, preferred.
• Experience teaching IELTS preparation is an advantage.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Eligible to stay in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English language lessons across various levels (beginner to advanced), including general English, IELTS preparation, and conversational English, as required.
• Assess and provide feedback on student work, including IELTS writing samples, assignments, and progress tests.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the Academy's curriculum and branded course materials.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and academic management.
• Create a supportive, engaging, and culturally inclusive classroom environment for an international student body.
• Participate in curriculum development, textbook evaluation, and academic material creation as needed.
• Support academy events, summer camps, and other academic programmes as required.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student progress records.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic staff to maintain consistent teaching standards across the Academy.
