Job summary

Wangsa Holdings Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur City Centre is seeking an experienced Head Barista to lead our coffee operations. This full-time role focuses on expert espresso preparation, guest service excellence, and mentoring our barista team to deliver consistent quality.

You will manage the coffee station, oversee stock and equipment maintenance, and drive initiatives to enhance customer engagement through tasting events and new beverages while upholding safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional barista experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Advanced knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, extraction techniques and flavour profiles.
• Certified barista qualification (SCA or similar credential preferred).
• Exceptional latte art skills and the ability to execute specialty coffee beverages consistently.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate, train and develop team members effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and maintain composure during peak service periods.
• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and basic inventory management.
• Passion for coffee culture and commitment to staying current with industry trends and innovations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities
