Job summary

Metropolitan College is seeking a Quality Assurance Governance & Quality Management leader to develop and drive the institution's QA policies, plans, and KPIs. You will oversee accreditation activities, regulatory compliance, and internal audits, ensuring continuous improvement across academics and administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Quality Management, Business, Management, or related field.
• Minimum five years in management and regulatory affairs / quality assurance in higher education QA or accreditation.
• Excellent spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Experience with accreditation bodies or managing accreditation standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Quality Assurance Governance & Quality Management

Develop, implement, and continuously improve the institution's Quality Assurance Management System, policies, procedures, and standards.

Establish annual QA plans, quality objectives, KPIs, and monitoring mechanisms aligned with institutional strategic goals.

Promote a strong culture of quality, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement across academic and administrative functions.

Provide strategic advice to senior management on institutional quality, compliance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Accreditation, Regulatory Compliance & Institutional Audit

Lead and coordinate institutional and programme accreditation, re-accreditation, and regulatory compliance activities.

Ensure compliance with applicable higher education requirements, accreditation standards, institutional policies, and professional body requirements.

Plan and conduct internal quality audits to identify gaps, non-conformities, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Monitor corrective actions, accreditation recommendations, and audit findings to ensure timely and effective closure.

Academic Programme & Curriculum Quality

Monitor the quality, effectiveness, and compliance of academic programmes throughout their lifecycle.

Coordinate programme development, review, validation, approval, and periodic curriculum enhancement.

Ensure alignment between programme outcomes, course learning outcomes, teaching and learning activities, and assessment methods.

Continuous Quality Improvement

Lead the institution's Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes using evidence-based planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Analyse trends, identify root causes, and recommend corrective, preventive, and improvement actions.

Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of improvement initiatives and ensure outcomes are documented and communicated

Quality Documentation, Evidence & Reporting

Establish and maintain systematic QA documentation, academic records, course files, programme files, and accreditation evidence.

Ensure QA documents and evidence are accurate, current, complete, properly controlled, and readily retrievable.

Prepare regular QA, audit, accreditation, compliance, and performance reports for management and relevant committees.

Maintain effective tracking systems for quality findings, action plans, recommendations, and implementation status.

Job Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Education, Quality Management, Business, Management, or any related field

Minimum five (5) years in management and regulatory affairs/ quality assurance preferably in higher education QA, accreditation, audit, or academic administration.

Excellent spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia & English.

Experience working with accreditation bodies (regional or national accreditation organisation) or in managing compliance with accreditation standards is an added advantage

Strong analytical, communication, report-writing, documentation, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder-management skills.
