Job summary

Nong Geng Ji SDN BHD is seeking a Restaurant Manager in Malaysia to lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and manage a service team on the floor. You will oversee food and beverage quality, handle guest feedback, and drive improvements with a hands-on leadership style.

The role requires 3-4 years in the F&B industry (lead role preferred) and strong communication with guests and staff. A dynamic, fast-paced environment awaits with emphasis on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Leadership and strong communication to lead a service team on the floor.
• Excellent guest service mindset with ability to build rapport with customers.
• Hands-on management style with proactive problem solving.
• Familiarity with POS systems, reporting, and basic IT skills.
• Experience in F&B leadership roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment checks to ensure everything runs smoothly
• Ensure stock and supplies are always sufficient and well-managed
• Share ideas and recommend improvements to management when needed
• Lead by example with strong professionalism and positive attitude
• Handle guest feedback, needs, and complaints promptly and politely
• Resolve service issues quickly to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure SOP & SOC are followed consistently in daily operations
• Supervise and guide service team members during daily shifts
• Oversee food & beverage service quality and team performance
• Ensure requisitions are delivered, stored, and recorded properly
• Participate in stock take for store, linen, and operating equipment
• Attend meetings and briefings (especially when Manager is absent)
• Support monthly maintenance coordination and reporting
• Take on additional duties assigned by management when needed
• 3-4 years' experience in F&B industry (lead role preferred)
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Friendly, guest-focused, and able to build good customer relationships
• Basic IT skills (systems, reporting, or POS knowledge)
• Strong leadership, initiative, and 'hands-on' working style
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
