Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada seeks a Financial Accounting and Reporting Support Intern in Putrajaya, Malaysia. You will support month-end close, prepare financial reports, and assist with regulatory reporting as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• ,Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support multiple priorities and deadlines
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including journal entries booking
• Prepare various financial reports and templates on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Support production and delivery of financial analytical reporting packages to various teams
• Support daily balance sheet processes and regulatory inquiries
• Perform reconciliations, review intergroup reconciliations, and coordinate investigation and resolution of discrepancies
• Contribute to an effective control environment by creating and refreshing documentation of financial reporting processes
• Support the Financial Control teams as needed and develop knowledge of relevant accounting and reporting requirements
• Assist with daily ad-hoc inquiries and requests, and ensure timely delivery of reports to the U.S. Regulatory Reporting team
