Job summary

RBC is seeking a Financial Accounting and Reporting Support Intern in Malaysia (Putrajaya) to gain hands-on experience in month-end and quarter-end close processes, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting within the Office of the CFO.

You will contribute to journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation to strengthen internal controls while collaborating with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including journal entries booking.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and templates.
• Support the production and delivery of financial analytical reporting packages to various teams.
• Support daily balance sheet processes and regulatory inquiries.
• Perform reconciliations, review intergroup reconciliations, and coordinate the investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
• Contribute to an effective control environment by creating and refreshing documentation of financial reporting processes.
• Support the Financial Control teams as needed and develop knowledge of relevant accounting and reporting requirements.
• Assist with daily ad-hoc inquiries and requests, and ensure timely delivery of reports to the U.S. Regulatory Reporting team.
